The International Students' Day ceremony was held in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Higher Education of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, honoring top-performing students. During the event, the President of the University of Kurdistan described the presence of 555 international students as a symbol of the university transforming into a "House of Dialogue of Cultures."

President of University of Kurdistan: International Students Are Inseparable Members of the University Family

According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, the grand ceremony to celebrate International Students' Day and honor non-Iranian academic achievers was attended by Dr. Yasin Saleh Hama, Deputy Minister for Cultural and International Communications of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, the university's Board of Directors, and a group of faculty members and students.

University of Kurdistan: A Hub of Scientific Diplomacy
Dr. Adel Si-o-seh-mordeh, President of the University of Kurdistan, presented statistics on international student enrollment, stating: "The recruitment of international students at this university began in 2015, and to date, over 720 students have graduated from this institution."
Noting that 555 international students, including 512 from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, are currently studying at the university, he described the University of Kurdistan as a "House of Dialogue of Cultures," adding: "We consider international students as members of our own family and take pride in this cultural diversity."

International Students: Cultural Ambassadors of Nations
Subsequently, Hojjatoleslam Abedin Rostami, Head of the Office of the Representative of the Supreme Leader at the university, referred to international students as "cultural ambassadors" between nations. He emphasized their key role in strengthening empathy, bringing hearts closer, and countering divisive cultural policies.

Emphasis on Educational Quality and Welfare
Dr. Hossein Bevrani, Director of International Affairs at the university, also spoke, calling the University of Kurdistan the "second home" for international students. He stressed the university management's serious commitment to providing a dynamic, high-quality, and standard environment for their education and life.
Additionally, Dr. Habib Soleimani, the former Director of International Affairs, described the presence of international students as the "global spirit of the university" and, while appreciating the support of the management team, wished for continued success in the international domain.
