16th of Azar: A Reminder of the Mission, A Renewal of the Covenant with the Future
To the passionate, intelligent, and future-building students of the University of Kurdistan,
I extend my heartfelt congratulations on the arrival of the 16th of Azar, Student Day, to you, the clear-thinkers and the vigilant in the arena of science and thought.
This day is not merely a historical occasion but the manifestation of a culture and a perpetual mission—a culture in which the struggle against global arrogance, the demand for independence and freedom, and a commitment to the homeland are embodied in the student. The pure blood of the three exalted martyrs—Ghandi, Shariat-Razavi, and Bozorg-Nia—is not just an event in Iran's contemporary history but a guiding light for future generations to always stand against tyranny and oppression and to strive for the lofty ideals of this land.
Dear Students,
Today, your mission is greater than ever. You are on the front lines of the "Jihad of Clarification" and play a crucial role in the vast fields of knowledge and technology production. You are expected, through deep thinking and the use of modern knowledge, to identify the challenges facing the Islamic system and to take steps to resolve them. The University of Kurdistan, as one of the key academic centers in the west of the country, expects you to transcend the frontiers of knowledge with unity and empathy and to present a worthy model of the "socially responsible student" to society.
The Office of the Representative of the Supreme Leader at the university always considers itself alongside you, the faithful and revolutionary youth, and supports every identity-affirming, transformative movement that contributes to the nation's progress.
In closing, I pray to Almighty God for the health, success, and distinction of you all.
With renewed respects,
Abedin Rostami
Head of the Office of the Representative of the Supreme Leader at the University of Kurdistan
